From the very beginning, they have tried not to confine themselves or their music to a strictly defined genre; the name ethno-beat as a genre refers to the fact that their songs are influenced by the folk music of the Carpathian Basin and Anglo-Saxon beat-folk, which have had the greatest impact on their creative work. Their music is conceptually diverse, drawing on motifs from Hungarian, Gypsy, Irish and South Slavic folk music and the beat music of the 1960s, as well as the world of French café chansons and old Renaissance and Baroque music. The band's name ("to the reunion!") suggests that in popular music, specific, clearly distinguishable styles are no longer discernible, and that popular music is increasingly the result of a blend of these styles. Aurevoir. is a farewell to the old era and an opening to the new, which at the same time revisits the musical styles that have developed in the past.
