Hungária - Hotel Menthol
In the Hungarian Albummm! series, we listen to the albums in the composer's or artist's own words, recalling their own experiences in the Hungarian House of Music library, which has a growing collection of albums, and which will be the playhouse of a Hungarian great music album. This time, the 1981 release Hotel Menthol by the Hungaria band will be played on the turntable, and Gergely Horváth will be the host guest, bassist-singer-songwriter Gábor Novai.

Schedule
In the early eighties, HUNGARIA's rock'n roll party rolled through the happiest bars at express speed and everyone was on it. The rock 'n' roll era that never really existed in this country was a smash hit, remixed as an instant evergreen collection of hits, with a pompous neon parade, but without the genre's socially critical edge but with all its energy. 12 years after Roll up the Carpet, the red carpet was rolled out at the feet of Miklós Fenyő and his band of characters - the real twist in the story. But the nostalgia evocation became - in its original way - a milestone in the history of Hungarian popular music. Listening to the music together on the Istanbul - Hotel Menthol - Randi Andi route is a reminder of this journey. The guide: Gábor Novai.
If we remember listening to music when Little Richard sang on shiny black records, we also know what playing records gave music fans; dedicated listening time, deep attention, lyrics to browse and memorable covers. And more.
