Why is this event special?

The 101 Voices is a 5-hour Depeche Mode celebration dreamed up by fans for fans. The evening culminates at 20:00, with 101 artists taking to the stage to create an unforgettable experience, evoking the exciting musical world of Depeche Mode with unique musical arrangements. Enjoy the Silence, Wrong, Strangelove, Walking in My Shoes and many more cult songs, with a 50-piece symphony orchestra and 45-piece Hungarian National Male Choir, will be given a monumental sound that will give visitors to the event an everlasting experience.

The evening combines the power of nostalgia and the thrill of reinvention in a unique way.

One of the largest stages in MVM Dome concert history will be built for the 101 HANG performance. The astonishing power of the production is demonstrated by the fact that at several points in the concert, 100 artists, instruments or vocals at once, create a powerful new sound with iconic Mode songs.

For all ages, for all music lovers!

Throughout the concert block, the different musical arrangements on which each song is based will constantly change. There will be Gigi Radics performing a beautiful ballad by Martin Gore, accompanied by piano, vocalists and the symphony orchestra, or Anna Pásztor recalling a special DM hit, and there will also be a song with a reimagined musical basis brought to life by Zsiga Bernathy, joined by the Hungarian National Male Choir. Begi Lotfi is also preparing his own DM versions, for whom this project is a matter of the heart; he has always considered himself a Mode fan. The heart and soul of the cast is Lili Fehér, an exceptionally talented piano and vocal performer. Lili has been an active part of the whole musical concept and has performed several songs. For the harder, more gritty songs, Timi Arany takes to the stage, another indispensable member of this exceptional line-up of performers. In addition to the vocal performances, there will of course be plenty of original songs, which will be given a more extended and unique sound with the Hungarian National Male Choir and the Hungarian Studio Orchestra.

Location

MVM Dome

MVM Dome is the seventh largest indoor event venue in Europe. Its capacity for sports events and concerts is significantly higher than that of the Budapest Sports Arena.

It has 20,022 seats; a total of 50,000 square metres of floor space; innovative, rearrangeable spaces for many indoor sports (handball, basketball and volleyball, futsal, ice hockey, tennis, skating) as well as certain athletic, equestrian and motorcycle competitions, and even swimming competitions and water polo matches in the mobile pool.

Through the six entrances to the building, spectators can enter the arena’s interior using eight escalators, leading to the walk-through grandstands accessible on three levels.

The structure of the building’s exterior is reminiscent of muscle fibres: the light strips placed on the outward-leaning, elliptical sections not only embrace the building, but the light shows, programmed using various colours, appear to set the entire building in motion.

There is a 600 square metre display on the façade of the building.

The Main Entrance leads to an impressive foyer, where visitors will be greeted by a grandiose hanging light installation of 848 handmade glass tubes.

The programmable sports lighting is also suitable for HDTV broadcasts of the highest-level world competitions, as well as for super-slow-motion recordings due to flicker free technology.

The lighting system also plays an important role in the events and concerts, as it is suitable for changing the colour temperature of the auditorium, which means that the lighting functions can be changed without rearranging the arena, only through the pre-programmed lighting controls. This design is the first and is unique in Europe for luminaires of this power.

A central display (cube) provides information in the auditorium during the events.
