This Is Nowhere is a five-piece band from Thessaloniki, Greece.When they formed in 2009, their style was still defined by noise, blues, experimental and psych-rock, and their first recordings were released on the "Hands in Sand" label. A few years later, after numerous recordings and live shows, their first full-length LP "Turn On/ Tune Down/ Drop D" was released in January 2014 on the legendary Berlin label 'Nasoni Records'. Their sound has evolved since then, combining elements of noise rock, dub and shoegaze with delay, bass and more bass. The band's second album 'Music to Relapse', featuring new drummer Captain Tzek, was released in 2016, also on Nasoni Records. In the same year, they recorded a cover of the Velvet Underground's "White Light / White Heat" for Record Store Day, under the Lotus Releases and Melotron Recordings labels.

Moving towards a "colder" sound at the end of the decade, they began work on their third album, "Grim Pop". With the addition of synthesizers and theremin, and the addition of Eva Duru, the band embraced diversity beyond acid rock in a rather minimalist way. The album was released in 2020 on the 'Doom Mood' label. The band started working on their new material during the pandemic. Completed by the end of 2023, the record showcases the band's post-hardcore side, which they dubbed 'Waiver'. Although still hallucinatory, it is their most extreme album to date. The album was released on October 2024 on the "Ouga Booga and the Mighty Oug" label.
