Murcof, Áron Lőrinczi
Murcof at the House of Music! The Mexican glitch and ambient magician will present his audiovisual work The Etna Sessions in an exclusive session. Made using sound recordings from the Italian volcano's surroundings, the work is a magmatic blend of drone, atmospheric dub and abstract techno. The project aims to explore the relationship between nature and the digital world in an audiophile musical experience. The limited-seat, seated show will be opened by Áron Lőrinczi, whose experimental ambient material will be released in the spring under the title Closure Brochure.

MURCOF
Mexican electronic musician Fernando Corona's artistic attitude is characterised by his ability to conjure beauty out of bleakness. His music is richly detailed, emotionally saturated and captivating. Murcof's style combines minimalist electronic compositions with contemporary classical, ambient, drone and industrial elements. His earlier work was dominated by orchestral sound patterns, while his later work has focused more on textural atmospheres and field recordings of organic origin. Corona was born in Tijuana, Mexico in 1970 and has worked as a member of the Nortec Collective, before moving to Barcelona in 2006. Particularly notable are his albums Remembranza (2005) and The Versailles Sessions (2008), in which he reinterpreted elements of baroque and classical music with modern electronic sounds. His live performances have featured artists such as trumpeter Erik Truffaz and classical pianist Francesco Tristano.
