Lord is a hard rock/heavy metal band from Szombathely, founded in 1972 by Ferenc Vida, Ernő Sipőcz, László Papp and István Sütő. They recorded their first album (Big City Lights) in 1985 in Austria. By the late 1980s, they had already gained popularity among Hungarian rock fans with singer Mihály Pohl. At that time they released three studio albums. The 1990s were marked by member changes and limited opportunities for Lord.

The resurrection came at the turn of the millennium and the reformation concert on 30 April 2000, when the band Lord, consisting of Attila Erős - Attila Gidófalvy - Lajos Gyurik - Mihály Pohl - Ferenc Vida, took to the stage again. In 2005, due to personal conflicts, the founding member Ferenc Vida had to leave again. The Lord ensemble is still active today, they are performing continuously.
