Mother's Cake returns to Budapest with the release of their new album "Ultrabliss".

Inspired by Stanley Kubrick's cult film "A Clockwork Orange" (1971), the album is free of traditional structural constraints. The Austrian band unleashes its imagination with the best jams and dancefloor music. "Ultrabliss" combines elements of classic rock, krautrock and prog-rock in nine extremely diverse tracks that are sure to win over followers of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers or British indie icons like Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys or Kasabian.

Schedule

Like its predecessor, "Cyberfunk!", "Ultrabliss" was produced at Sevenarts Studio, Überlärm Studio and Moonwalker Productions Studio, and once again comes to life thanks to the sound of singer, guitarist and songwriter Yves Krismer, in collaboration with Manuel Renner and Raphael Neikes. Neikes, who plays live guitar and keyboards, has become the fourth member of the band. The founding drummer Jan Haußels left the band amicably after the album recording and is now replaced on drums by Alex Kerbl.

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
