With bassist Camillo Pace and drummer Mimmo Campanale, the trio combines the harmonies of early 20th century French composers with virtuoso melodies and solos inspired by African-American jazz masters. The result is an original bridge between modern jazz idioms and classical soundscapes. Backed by a sophisticated and effective rhythm section, Nico Morelli's compositions take the listener to a lyrical place infused with southern Italian colours.
