Kipakolás finale - session for music students || Lumen × House of Music series season finale
Organised by the Hungarian House of Music and Lumen Café / Prepost Records, the basic objective of the programme, which has been running for a year, is to provide regular performance and networking opportunities for students of music schools. Other aims of the programme are to provide a platform for music-making and a gateway between different musical disciplines and directions, as well as between secondary and higher education institutions. A professional board of trustees will monitor and follow up the work of the students.

Schedule
The name "Unpacking" is borrowed from the University of Fine Arts' end-of-year art show, where students "unpack" their year's work for a joint exhibition where students, teachers and visitors can see what they have created that year.
We wanted to establish a similar tradition in the Lumen Café with the participation of various music education institutions. To give students a regular opportunity to showcase their work and what they have been working on at the end of a school term - practically once a quarter - by listening to each other in concerts that are also publicly announced. So, as well as showcasing the schools, our aim is to bring students from different music schools together and inspire them to work together.
In the first year of the programme, the Béla Bartók Music Secondary School held several jazz clubs as part of the series, and students from the PTE MK Electronic Music Media Arts Department and the Liszt Ferenc Music University Electronic Music Media Arts Department (they played in mixed duos in a completely improvisational way). There were also a few students from the Jazz Department (also playing together with the Electronic Music Department). And at the end of the season, the Folk Music Department of the Liszt Academy joined in with a debut concert.
The programme proved to be a great success, with a total of 9 concerts organised during the season, several of which were so well attended and sold out that in the end not everyone could fit into the Lumen concert hall.
To our great pleasure, we received very positive feedback from students and teachers alike, the series proved to be important and inspiring for everyone, and we would like to continue the work in the next school year and in our concert season, which overlaps exactly with it!
We plan to expand the programme further, involving even more educational institutions and disciplines, and try to further stimulate joint musical experimentation between different disciplines and schools!
All the faculties involved so far will be represented at the House of Hungarian Music's concert in June:
-the Béla Bartók Béla Music Secondary School
-The PTE MK electronic music media artist specialisation
-PTE MK PTE MK PTE MK PTE MK University of Music and Performing Arts, Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, PTE MK PTE MK electronic music media
-The Jazz Department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music
-Folk Music Department of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music
