Eszter Lukács graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2023. She is interested in the relationship between sounds and images, and between the conscious and the unconscious.

Her audiovisual installations invite the viewer into her personal experience of the ocean: what happens underwater, where a meditative, concentrated state of consciousness can be created, where the self fragments, merges with the whole, where only the present is. With the help of ultrasonic sensors, visitors become an active, essential part of the work: with their body movements they influence the analogue-trained, digitally modified, recorded sound effects.
The installation series “the sun sinking below” can be seen on level -2 of the Hungarian House of Music.
