Jumping Matt & His Combo
After last year's highly successful ‘Pribojszki50’ concert, the band will return to Kobuci again this year, where they will present their latest album ‘Forward’ with all the guests from the album.
"Throughout his thirty-year career so far, songwriter, singer and harmonica player Mátyás Pribojszki (Jumping Matt) has constantly sought new and exciting musical opportunities. Jumping Matt & His Combo Forward, his latest album, contains twelve brand new songs: eleven English-language compositions and one instrumental. All the songs on the album are identical in sound, but are stand-alone compositions - all with a soft jazz sound.
Schedule
The formation went into the studio with a renewed line-up: Viktor Hamvas joined Pribojszki's band on keyboard and piano. Dániel Molnár (drums) and László Csizmadia (bass) are responsible for the familiar, top-list rhythm section. There is no shortage of guests either.
Mátyás Pribojszki's harmonica playing is unmistakable; his vocals are nuanced, sophisticated and playful. The artist, who is the author of most of the songs, has drawn on his own experiences to create new music. The undertaking, which he describes as an ‘emotional rollercoaster’, evokes the break-up of friends and family, the loss of parents, but also the many wonders of life - with positive nuances, of course, also reflected in the vocal delivery.
Fans of Jumping Matt & His Combo will be unsurprised to find that the new album is deeply imbued with resilience and freshness, while also being combined with honesty and unique moods. Just like the blues itself."
