Nyírbátor

Nyírbátor is a historic small town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, near the Romanian border in eastern Hungary. It is closely linked to the famous Báthory family, from whom the town takes its name. Its most well-known landmarks include the 15th-century Gothic Reformed Church and the largest wooden bell tower in Hungary. The town’s cultural life is enriched by events such as the Nyírbátor Music Days and programs related to the Báthory heritage.
