Originally created for a single album, Budapest Bar has been operating for 18 years with twelve singers in a completely unique lineup – perhaps this is why it has become one of the most sought-after concert bands, regularly performing at festivals and on big stages. The roots of Budapest Bár's unique style, which has become its trademark, date back to the world of Budapest coffee houses in the 1920s and 1930s. They reinterpret well-known and beloved songs based on gypsy music, combining elements of jazz, pop, rock, klezmer, and numerous other musical genres

The original intention of Róbert Farkas, the leader and founder of Budapest Bár, was precisely to give new impetus to the genre of café gypsy music, keeping old traditions alive and renewing them
. Thanks to the band, long-forgotten melodies have become part of the public consciousness and youth culture once again. They have dusted off numerous old songs, revived forgotten ones,
given well-known ones a new look, and recently written several new songs. Ages, cultures, styles, and generations come together in their performances—perhaps
