His new trio will perform a number of new compositions alongside old favourites. Cohen, who has always stood out in the past as a great bandleader and discoverer of new young musicians, once again brings exceptional talent to the stage.
He is accompanied on piano by Azerbaijani Elchin Shirinov and on drums by Israeli Roni Kaspi, aged just 22. Kaspi and Cohen met during a lockdown due to the epidemic, performing virtually for the first time on Facebook. This immediately led to a strong musical connection between the two, which led to Roni being invited to accompany Avishai on world tours from September 2020.
Shifting Sands, her brand new album, proves that she is not resting on her laurels. Avishai Cohen has travelled a varied path since the beginning of the century. He's fronted bands, led small ensembles and even duos, but it's the trio format that he always returns to.
Erkel Theatre
Az Erkel Színház, Népopera néven 1911. december 7-én nyitotta meg kapuit. A többször is átalakított épület 1951 és 2007, valamint 2013 óta a Magyar Állami Operaház második játszóhelyeként funkcionál.
