◉ RIGHT TIME - MUSIC TAKES YOU ◉

As we move closer to our season opener on September 12, we can already sense the dense late-summer heat of the club and the urge in our bones to move together to the music we love.

Even though we didn’t host events during the summer, the records never stopped spinning at home - together with the thoughts and plans that grew out of them. It wasn’t only about processing the nights we’d left behind, but also about diving deeper into those experiences and carrying them forward. Part of our time was spent re-listening, selecting, and discovering newly released gems - in other words, creatively channeling our withdrawal symptoms. In June, we shared the first recorded mix, and then passed the decks from one to the other, each session easing the absence of the club space. Because even if it was just the two of us in a room, the vibration was still RIGHT TIME.

Behind all of this lies the musical vision we instinctively reach for whenever we mix. The raw world of 1990–91 breakbeat hardcore continues to inspire us - mirroring the euphoria of rave and the spirit of DIY. The distorted samples, sudden modulations, and often cheeky samples that defined those releases still break through walls today with primal force. In the golden years of jungle between 1992–95, the amen break became more than just a rhythm - it became a philosophy. This is where the spirit of RIGHT TIME is rooted: weight, space, depth, risk. Our record bags from those years seem to choose themselves; there’s no nostalgia in it for us, only immediacy. The refinement of ‘intelligent drum and bass’ around 1996–97 is another line we’ve always pursued - not only in quiet hours. Atmospheric, fragile, and profound, where drums and pads aren’t just scaffolding for a structure, but storytellers. This is the kind of music where you can lose yourself in a single loop — and we gladly do. The hidden treasure of the 2000s, drumfunk, gave us a rediscovered freedom through intricately chopped breaks and the micro-stories woven into the tracks. That legacy lives in us too - not at the forefront, but always there in the bag, ready for the right moment in the mix. And the jungle renaissance of recent years, together with the exciting fusions of entirely different moods and directions, only deepens our appetite for discovery and openness to the new.

The arc of RIGHT TIME doesn’t live in the past, but starts from it. These styles didn’t follow one another — they were born from each other, just as they interweave in our sets every night. At once deeply considered and fully of the moment — made to strike the heart of anyone willing to open themselves to it.
