✺ Nasip Kismet + Bagatel at Gólya ✺

2025-09-04T18:00:00.000Z

On the evening of September 4, cross-border music and dance will take center stage at Gólya.

Nasip Kismet will take the stage in the evening, combining the traditions of Anatolian Turkish lyric poetry with the eclectic, intertwining rhythms and melodies of ethnic jazz, fusion, and psychedelic folk. Their music, whether vocal or instrumental, touches listeners on a spiritual level, regardless of language or nationality.

The band's name, the Turkish expression “nasip kısmet,” means “whatever will be, will be”—a kind of trust in fate, when one surrenders to the flow of events and accepts everything that life brings with an open heart.

The leader of the band, Arif Erdem Ocak, has built a career spanning from the Turkish charts to the alternative stages of Budapest with his unique percussive guitar playing and more than 15 years of musical experience. The band members are outstanding musicians from Hungary and Turkey who together create a sound that is at once deep, free, and sweeping.
