What is JamBerek?
Community and co-creation. JamBerek is a free association of people committed to collaborative creation - more than just a jam band. We warmly welcome everyone to our informal musical improvisation events (jam sessions) who is open to sharing their talent, who enjoys improvising with us, or who simply wants to dance and enjoy what we create together.

Freedom without order is just chaos. To create an inclusive space for collaborative music-creation, let's agree on these guidelines:
- You are safe. An experienced host from the JamBerek team coordinates each event, ensuring everyone feels comfortable regardless of their skill level or experience.
- You'll have time to tune in. We'll help you get settled.
- Anyone can join.
- Any instrument is welcome. This includes electronic instruments and vocals. The mic is open.
- Bring your own instrument or use one of ours. We provide several instruments for everyone to share.
- Amplifiers are welcome, but keep the volume moderate - our goal is for everyone to hear each other clearly.
- Come with an open mind, devotion, and attention, rather than sheet music, lyrics, or jazz standards.
- We include breaks because silence is part of music and because real connections happen during conversations. Expect 2-3 sessions between 8:00 PM and 11:30 PM.
- We record audio of the event for later editing into a video, allowing us to share the best moments of our improvised collaboration.

Community space and all the extras to make you feel good! The Free Port is a place where knowledge, experience, feelings and ideas can be freely exchanged over a coffee, a concert, a performance and/or a children's party. That's how it really works here! It's worth getting to know the double face of the place, dominated by kids by day and drinkers by night, with programmes open to all ages. Bring your four-legged pet, they're welcome too! And our kitchen prepares a lactose and gluten free menu every weekday, available from 11:30am.
