Have you heard that nuclear waste must be stored safely for more than 100,000 years?

Did you know that claystone can be a suitable material for storing nuclear waste?

At this workshop, Rita Süveges, one of the artists featured in the exhibition Golden Repair - Fine Joints, will give an introductory presentation and talk about her artistic research on the subject.

Schedule

This interdisciplinary field of research examines how we can communicate with future generations (human and non-human beings) about the location and dangers of radioactive waste storage sites. How can we warn them?

We will try to find forms, signs, and messages for this in the creative part of the program, where participants can take part in a clay workshop. We will create forms from clay that are inspired by "nuclear semiotics."
