Robinson Khoury – MŸA
Frenchman Robinson Khoury is a very upbeat young musician and composer in his homeland. He is currently touring with his own band and a formation called Sarāb, but has also performed as a soloist with the Metropole Orkest, as well as playing with renowned artists such as Lew Soloff, Mark Turner, Ibrahim Maalouf, and in July 2019 as a member of the Quincy Jones Orchestra. His first two solo records were released in 2019 and 2022.

With his latest trio called MYA, the trombone artist embarks on a musical journey in the footsteps of the organic origin of life: he explores ancient rhythms and sounds through electro-acoustic landscapes, which are also formed by a modular synthesizer in addition to – Khoury. The MYA project, rooted in jazz and Middle Eastern sound scales, focuses on the wordless singing of band members. The debut album nu-jazzes, arab jazz was released in 2024 and is also attended by singer Natacha Atlas. In March 2025, Khoury received the most prestigious French jazz performance, the Django Reinhardt Award in the Best Jazz Musician of the Year category.
