We warmly welcome you to our Advent program, where we will immerse ourselves together in the quiet, festive world of paintings and altarpieces. During our journey, we will use the artworks to evoke the spiritual depth and beauty of the holiday season, and afterward we will create our own works in the studio, inspired by what we have seen.

Schedule
Our Wednesday series invites the older generation—participants over 60—to join thematic gallery walks and creative workshop sessions. Focusing on a selected topic, we explore three to five artworks together in the National Gallery’s permanent and temporary exhibitions. We draw inspiration, engage in conversation, share our reflections, and then create together in the museum’s creative workshop.
No prior registration is required; participation is ensured by ticket purchase. Tickets can be bought online or on-site, in order of arrival. A program ticket also grants access to the permanent exhibition.

Maximum capacity: 15 participants

Hungarian National Gallery
The Hungarian National Gallery is the largest public collection documenting and presenting fine art in Hungary. The permanent exhibitions of the museum, located in the Buda Castle Palace complex, showcase the most important works of Hungarian art, including masterpieces by Master MS, Pál Szinyei Merse, Mihály Munkácsy, József Rippl-Rónai and Dóra Maurer.
