Friss Kakas Animation Film Days 2026
The MOME Anim and Friss Hús teams are hosting the Friss Kakas Animation Film Days for the fourth time at the Zugliget campus and the Toldi Cinema. This two-day event features diploma film premieres from 2025 graduates, professional programs, portfolio consultations, premiere screenings, a Ferenc Sajdik retrospective, a comic marathon, and the Grafix fair.

On January 16, an all-day professional program will provide insight into key aspects of an animation career: introduction to MOME Anim and admissions forum, portfolio preparation advice, individual portfolio evaluations, and career stories from successful creators including Krisztián Király, Judit Orosz, Viktória Traub, and Péter Vácz. The highlight of the day will be a masterclass by Alice Saey and the opening of the 20-hour online Comic Marathon.
On January 17, audiences can enjoy screenings of the latest MOME diploma films, a Ferenc Sajdik memorial block, a selection of recent Hungarian music videos, films by MOME instructors, and award-winning diploma works from international partner schools. A special section will focus on the current renaissance of stop-motion animation.
