The Editors’ frontman, Tom Smith, presents his debut solo album There Is Nothing in the Dark That Isn’t in the Light in an intimate seated show at Akvárium Klub’s Main Hall.

The concert will also feature reimagined versions of the biggest hits from Editors.
Tom explained why he decided to step back from the band for a while:
“As an artist, I realised I wanted to do something that reflects more clearly the kind of songs I write — in the way I’ve always written them — simply performed on acoustic guitar or piano. I have no idea if that makes it folk, country, crooner or something else entirely. I’ve just always felt the urge to write and sing sad songs.
With the band (Editors), these songs often become something else — bigger, more confrontational — but with this solo project I wanted the recordings to remain simple and stay closer to the original idea, to how they were born.”
Akvárium
As they describe themselves, it is Budapest's most frequented venue, which is also multifunctional. Akvárium is great for award ceremonies, afternoon coffees and, most importantly, concerts, thanks to the well-picked, cross-genre selection.
