Joy-ful /// Object-Making Art Therapy Group
If we create objects to meet our physical needs, why wouldn’t we create objects to meet our emotional needs as well? Our objects carry the imprints of our behavior, our thinking, our inner world. The way we relate to them holds self-knowledge value. In object-making art therapy, we activate this potential — whether through examining our everyday objects or by creating new ones.

WHAT IS THE WORKSHOP ABOUT?
When we experience happiness, it feels as if we could remain in that state forever. In reality, everyday life often shakes this inner stability. We begin to question ourselves and find it difficult to recall the sense of freedom we felt in moments of joy.
In the Joy-Object art therapy workshop, we mobilize our inner resources through the practice of object-making. We recall an ideal self-experience that we miss in our daily lives and create a reminder object for ourselves.
We will work with easy-to-handle materials: air-drying clay, natural and recycled materials. The final form of each object captures the participant’s unique and unrepeatable experience.

WHAT DO YOU GET FROM THE WORKSHOP?
The aim of the workshop is to help participants become able to articulate their relationship with themselves, and to experience the trust and acceptance that a small-group self-awareness session can offer. Artistic activity serves as an indicator of self-reflective learning, therefore no prior training or manual skills are required to participate.
