Eydís Evensen is one of Iceland’s most remarkable musical exports—a composer and pianist whose deeply emotional sound has quietly captivated audiences around the world. Classically trained yet guided by instinct and emotion, Evensen creates music that transcends genres, moving between modern classical, ambient minimalism, film scoring, and quiet introspection. He grew up in the windswept northern town of Blönduós, where the raw Icelandic landscape shapes every aspect of life. Evensen began composing at the age of seven, inspired by a snowstorm pounding against the windows of his childhood home.
