Throughout his career, Michael Lington has performed and recorded with such names as Dave Stewart, Vince Gill, Dave Koz, Booker T. Jones, Taylor Dayne, Barry Manilow, Randy Crawford, Brian Culbertson, Bobby Caldwell and Ray Parker, Jr. Together with Michael Bolton, they have toured 350 shows in 40 countries around the world. With his top-quality virtual concerts during the pandemic, Michael has become one of the key performers on the StageIt! platform, pioneering the solution.
Playing violin/singing, saxophone, keyboards, bass and drums, the Peet Project is one of the most talented and now internationally recognised young national bands. In 2009 they won the top prize in the Jazzy Radio Song Contest, and since 2013 they have been a regular at major jazz festivals in the US and at home. In early 2021, they topped the charts in Canada, while they have been the first domestic band to appear on the US Billboard Smooth Jazz Top 30 with four different songs. They were featured on Hungary's Got Talent in 2015 and on A Dal in 2017 and 2018, but their music is also a regular at jazz and gastro festivals such as the Paloznak Jazz Picnic, and they are also regular guests on the A38 stage.
The Peet Project and Michael Lington first worked together in 2019, when Michael contributed as a guest on Anything for You, from the group's sixth studio album Ups & Downs. Their first Budapest show together was scheduled for 2020, but the forced postponement due to the epidemic situation may now be realised.
The concert will feature some of Peet Project and Michael Lington's best-selling songs, including current radio hits Crazy Times and Moon Goddess, promising an exceptional summer music experience for lovers of funky, soul, pop and energetic but accessible jazz.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
