Teenage Dance House with the Sarjú Band and guests from Bukovina
Better than a house party!
Our teenage dance party is a great way for teenagers to have a good time, starting early in the evening.
Guests: Bukovina Traditional Guardians

Schedule
The descendants of one of our most famous ethnic groups, the Bukovina Szeklers, are the guests of our dance house today, evoking the atmosphere of the old feasts.
The Szekler ethnic group of Chisinau, Tricity and Udvarhelystijek entered our history through the massacre known as the Madéfalvi disaster of 1764. Two hundred years of turmoil, multiple disenfranchisement, flight, emigration, resettlement and displacement scattered them across the world, until in the storm of the great wars of the 20th century they found a new home in 39 villages of Tolna, Baranya, Bács-Kiskun and Pest counties.
Throughout their displacement they preserved their religion, language, mischievously witty humour, songs and dances. Although the memory of the homeland lives on only in the memories of the oldest people, it lives on in every object, every story, every gesture of every Bukovina family, in their fifth and final homeland, Hungary!
Today's guests are from Hőgyész; dancers, musicians and István Sebestyén, singer, storyteller, Master of Folk Art. Welcome them with love!
Host: Sarjú Banda
The Sarjú Banda, well known from the 2016 contest "Up with the Peacock", will play a dance house once a month, where teenagers are welcome. The teenage dance party is a dance party for young people who have outgrown children's dance parties and are too young for adult dance parties. In addition to those who already know how to dance, we are also counting on those who are just getting to know folk dance and dance choreography. During the evening, dance teachers will help you to get involved, even if you are a complete beginner.
