Fonó Session: music of joy
Our Spinning Session series offers a casual community music experience. Beginners and advanced musicians, music lovers, and interested people can join with or without an instrument.

Schedule
With a history of more than 30 years, the Hungarian Tekerőzenekar is open once a month for informal music sessions in its open workshop, where the bourdon instruments play the leading role. Host: Pál Havasréti
The ensemble, founded by Pál Havasréti, Ágoston Bartha and Béla Szerényi, is a true folk music workshop for bowed instruments players from all over the country, traditionally joined by wind players and singers. The members of the orchestra are working to ensure that the millennia-old culture of bowling does not disappear without a trace in Hungary, and that the tradition, which is mainly native to the Southern Great Plain, becomes as well-known and recognised as possible. In their concerts, the members of the orchestra play traditional South Great Plain peasant music, as well as arrangements, historical songs, church folk songs and the bowling-strong melodies of the peoples of Europe.
