Schedule
István Grencsó, a thousand-faced, ever-moving, ever-young and ever-seeking figure of Hungarian jazz, and his African-American soul brother, the saxophonist and poet Lewis Jordan, have a relationship, or rather a friendship, dating back to 2003.
Their collaboration has so far resulted in the physical fruit of two released albums.
"For me, István (Grencsó) approaches music with the spirit that interests me most. He interprets 'free music' in the same way that it resonates with me: it has passion, energy and comes from the heart. Together, his compositions and freedom of expression lead to an uncompromising and sensitive experience." Wrote Lewis Jordan of their first album Homespun in Black and White, released in 2009.
This evening, the two distinctive soloists reunite at Jedermann, to the delight of us all.
