Schedule
A journey into the realm of mother nature. It is the home of constant change, where transformation never stops. For Terra, or Mother Earth, life is cyclical, ever-changing and endless. Birth, flowering, death and rebirth. This endless cycle is brought to the stage by the One Thousand Faces collective in the form of a contemporary aerial dance performance.
Mother Earth and its cyclical changes are processed by four aerial dancers who, like the seasons, have different characteristics. Four women, four poles, four different worlds unfold about origins, changing nature, and womanhood in the embrace of the thousand-faced goddess. They are born, unfold, connect, fight with each other while facing the challenges of the universal and their own nature. This evergreen topic has perhaps never been more relevant than in our time.
Performers: Georgina Cassels, Réka Zetelaki, Marta Matovelle, Dorottya Podmaniczky
Music: montage
Light: Antal Szasz
Length of the performance: 54 minutes
Artus
Artus is an open, diverse intellectual and creative workshop, a meeting place for people, ideas and art.
Artus is both Gábor Goda's company, the Artus Studio - a studio in an abandoned factory building of 2000 square metres - and the collective of 30 artists who work there, as well as the Association, which provides the institutional backdrop.
Founded in 1985, Artus is an independent, contemporary, all-arts collective. We have created more than 100 performances and presented them in 25 countries. Since the beginning we have organised international projects, residencies and co-productions.
The Studio's regular programmes include performances by the Artus company, guest performances, visual arts exhibitions, music and other cultural events, as well as self-awareness and movement workshops.
