Ég Alatti 5: Élő zenei tájakon – ALBUM DEBUT CONCERT
The energetic music of the ÉG ALATTI 5 (5 Under the Sky) band has been playing since 2015. Their own compositions form the backbone of their repertoire, which in style and drive are reminiscent of the hard-bop and modal jazz music of the 1960s, yet unique in their character. Sometimes drawing inspiration from nature and folk music, they strive to create their own organic sound.

The friendship between the members, and the rhyming compositions of Udvardi and Baló, open up a free flow of live music. The first half of the evening will feature material from their debut album, Live Musical Landscapes, released in June, and the second half will be a selection of their most recent compositions.
The concert will also be the launch of the Live Music Landscapes album, which draws on compositions the band has played over the past eight years. "On the one hand, the title of our album foreshadows the fact that it is a live recording, since we chose our natural medium for recording: the concert venue, so that the dynamics and attention on the recordings would be true to us. It's also live in the sense that there is an instinctive place for playing, for freedom of musical framework, for spontaneity in our tight-knit musical community - reflected in the different nature of the various takes. Our written compositions provide a framework for this play, most of which have indeed been brought to life and given musical texture from external and internal landscapes and impressions," writes band leader Márton Udvardi in the album's booklet.
