As an orchestra, they use musical instruments to make an impact on their environment. They admit that growing up in this part of the world, they were exposed to a lot of influences. European classical music, the literature of which they were exposed to during their musical training, Hungarian and Balkan folk songs, as is inevitable in Kodály's country, and a variety of jazz styles. They also made excursions into many other musical styles, all of which shaped their musical style and enriched their repertoire. "We have brought together all that we have embraced with a good heart and we don't think in terms of styles or categories... we just make music and create for our contemporary audience today, in the 21st century," they say. This evening they will be joined by Csaba Bese for an unusual concert.
