Belau, Maluridé
In the world of the duo Belau (Péter Kedves, Krisztián Buzás), formed in 2015, the world of the ever hopeful and wistful mood meets the current electronic music basics.
The band's message is simple: try to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and live in the moment. Accordingly, the aim is to take the listener on an inner journey through the music, to hopeful and sunny places where they can switch off and find harmony, where they can immerse themselves in themselves and their thoughts.

-- BELAU --
Painting their own soundscapes with artpop, electronic, triphop, chillwaves, downtempo colours, Belau released their debut album The Odyssey in 2016, followed by a second album Colourwave in 2020. Many of the duo's songs (Island of Promise, You And I, Breath, Wicked, Essence, An Ocean With No Waves) have been a hit with the press and the public, charting internationally, at festivals, radio stations, film and commercials, as well as at awards and music video shows. The band has also performed at festivals such as Primavera, Eurosonic, SXSW and Reeperbahn.
Belau, who are becoming increasingly known on the international music scene (they have played more than 200 concerts in 25 countries in recent years), will follow up their two previous concept albums with another LP in 2023, with a similar approach and structure. With their latest songs, the duo, whose previous releases have reached millions of streams, is trying to take listeners out of their grey everyday life with a nostalgic, dreamlike mood. Their song Home, released in summer 2023, is a collaboration with one of Berlin's most current alt-pop r&b artists, the German-Japanese Mulay.
"The ethereality of life in the here and now is not so unattainable once one realises that the answers to one's questions come from within, always and at all times. The individual's struggle can be found in myriad spheres of life, but it can only be arrived at by 'returning home'. The forthcoming album 'apriori' will explore the whole of this theme, the framework of one's journey from every direction that Belau has experienced so far. Home is thus a highlight of this, co-written with one of the most inspiring and exotic Berlin singers of recent times: Mulay's exotic organ is a fitting complement to the message of our song," says the band about the new song and the forthcoming album.

-- MALURIDÉ --
Maluridé (Júlia Viszkeleti - vocals, Zazie Farkas Virág - keyboards, vocals, Milán Hodován - producer, keyboards), who will be forming together from 2022, have set themselves the goal of breaking down the boundaries of genre. The members of the ensemble graduated from the Liszt Academy of Music and although classical music plays an important role in the lives of all three of them, they started to develop their own musical style during their studies. They combine an alternative, yet electronic sound with dream-pop, instrumentation and vocals with 3-4 vocal parts, but the dynamic development of the songs is still based on naturalness.
As a supported artist in this year's Sound Occupier Competition, they will present their debut album to the audience at the House of Music following the summer festivals. The album Under The Same Sky is a kind of framed storytelling, which, in addition to the music, uses the visuals of Janka Sára Balázs, created for the occasion, to show the natural images, emotions and impressions behind the songs. "From the heights to the depths" or floating weightlessly between feelings and the changes of the world, with so many differences, but still remaining in unity with nature, the songs of the album explore these themes, but still a conclusion remains: we all exist under the same sky.
