Parallel Scenes ∥ audiovisual albumrelease

After discovering the sound synthesis technique of the Morphophone instrument, Bylant developed this technique further to create the Parallel Scenes album. This concert will be the first presentation of this album. Slow, wandering and more rhythmic, definite tracks follow each other with one thing in common: they are all built up in the same way. The evolution of the music is like watching the same scene copied eight times simultaneously, only with different starting times. Parallel scenes happen everywhere. The same plays eightfolds.

Andrea Görcz and Atos Bencsik will capture this idea from the visual side. In the trio's performance, the temporal progression of the scenes is intertwined in a unique musical-visual experience.

Schedule

Bylant is a musician, composer. He puts his impressions into musical textures while creates sonic landscapes and sound towers. He is interested in all combinations of rhythms, chords and tone colours. He believes in the diversity of expression: he uses slow, evolving sound streams, rhythmic structures and likes to dive into an infinite variety of timbre. He enjoys experimenting with techniques from the dawn of electronic music, which is how he came up with the spherophony that will be presented in this concert. He uses both analogue and digital instruments, but this evening his modular synthesizer plays a principle part.
