We're looking for the best music in the country for another triple compilation album of the third Telekom Electronic Beats compilation!
Making it as a musician has never been easy. Especially not here in the middle-eastern European end of the world, and especially not in the crisis-ridden last few years. Three years ago, we launched our first competition to showcase emerging talent - it immediately resulted in a beautiful triple album in the pop, club and experimental categories, full of musicians who have since gone on to follow some pretty amazing creative paths: performing, developing, releasing albums.
This year we're picking up the lute again, because we continue to sense the creative energies flowing through the night (and the day!) - we know you're the ones worthy of the world's ears, but struggling with how to get your act off the ground. So here's Episode 3.0:
Apply until midnight February 29, 2024 for submissions in the categories of forward-thinking pop, club and experimental music.
This time, in addition to the members of Telekom Electronic Beats, the judges will be Дeva, Bálint (Carson Coma) and Dávid Miller for the pop music category, Sobek, Technokool and Sikztah for the club tracks, and Erik Kolbenheyer (Exiles), Iamyank and Emcsi for the crossover music.
And this year, we're doing something new:
SHORT VIDEO is a new category, our favorites will appear as a Spotify animation alongside each selection.
The jury in this case will be Dániel Besnyő, curator of the light art and visual programme of the INOTA Festival, which was held for the first time last year. We are therefore also looking forward to short animations and cinematographic works, which will be the visual guides for each genre disc!
Talents who will be featured on the three different genre albums will be rewarded with prizes such as a Macbook Pro, a one-off cash prize - which will be given to everyone who appears on one of the albums -, the chance to perform at Sziget, Kolorado or INOTA Festival, depending on the style, and a voucher for a purchase from ChromaSound, KERET Launcher direct access to the artist of the KERET Blog's choice, HOTS mentoring session, Artisjus special prize of a place at the 2024 Songwriting Camp, and a full year of free distribution courtesy of WMMD, including a one-off free consultation on optimising your artist's digital presence. Quite a nice package!
If you want to share your trekkies with the world, proving that Hungarian music has a lot to offer on the international scene, now is the time - the compilation will be available on all major streaming platforms. You can grab the half-finished tracks, dust off the tracks - we're waiting for the most interesting tracks, whether it's the bunker techno of the year or your favourite summer hit.
