A genuine Bánya experience at the end of summer, on 28 August, with the Platon Karataev DUO!

Platon Karataev’s first Hungarian-language album, the 2022 release *Partért kiáltó*, marked a significant step forward for the band: according to Artisjus’s round-up, the album was one of the critics’ favourites; it was also honoured with a Fonogram Award by the industry, whilst the lyrics became part of the literature syllabus for the school-leaving exams in many secondary schools.

Last May saw the release of *Napkötöző*, which continues to address the most universal questions in the most personal way; and whilst, like the previous album, it once again views humanity through the eyes of water, mountains and forests, this time fire has become the central element, with the songs revolving around the Sun.

This time, the songs will be performed as a duo on the Bánya stage; alongside tracks from the new album, earlier compositions will also be performed, and we’ll also get a sneak peek at the new album currently in the making.
