Three improvisers with distinctive voices from the contemporary creative music scenes in Amsterdam and Lisbon – Ziv Taubenfeld, Helena Espvall and João Sousa – have recently formed an electroacoustic trio, in which the unusual combination of bass clarinet, cello and drums allows them to explore unique timbres. Their meditative, melodic, quietly smouldering musical world can erupt into a frenzy in the blink of an eye, should the musical flow so dictate. Their debut album, *You, Full of Sources and Night*, which balances delicate chamber music interplay with raw expressiveness, was released in 2025. The trio’s members collaborate with artists such as Tony Malaby, Hamid Drake, Carlos Zingaro, Marta Warelis and Steve Swell.
