Béla Tar: Damnation 35mm
Perhaps even Béla Tarr would like this: On All Saints' Eve, a double DAMN projection of a completely new and immaculate 35mm copy!
It's all done.

"Our hero, Karrer, is a man who knows exactly what to expect from his own life. He looks at the world from a point of view from which the complete hopelessness of his life can be clearly seen, and despite this, he embarks on another story, even though he knows best that he can only come out of it as a loser. However, there is something about him that is stronger than his own worldview. This greater power that resides within him draws him to another character in the story, the singer, who is not quite a worthy object of his desires and feelings. Karrer expects nothing from this love, for him this love is the ultimate human need, the expression of a biological longing for human warmth in his fatal solitude... It's not even a question of what's at stake in his life, but whether he has any at all?...” (László Krasznahorkai)

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
