After a clash with some Norwegian researchers, members of the US Antarctic Research Station take in a sled dog. However, the adopted eb undergoes a terrible transformation, as a foreign organism has moved into its body. A reconnaissance team heads to the neighboring Norwegian site, where, in addition to the ruins and dead, the Americans find a spaceship wreck dug out of the ice. It becomes clear that when the vehicle was brought to the surface, its passenger got loose and could assume any shape. As the harsh polar winter sets in, terror moves to the US base...
