We can trace the complexity of Szilárd Cseke’s art in this three-gallery exhibition. Created using classical painting techniques, his large-scale canvases—depicting leafy forests and shifting toward abstraction—are rooted in the tradition of landscape painting yet transcend the immediate visual world of the images. The versatile artist presented a large-scale installation in the Hungarian Pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale, and we can now also view his works in this genre at the Műcsarnok. We can view his works, which model complex systems and global processes and often require interactivity, conveying metaphorical meanings to the viewer.
Location
Kunsthalle Budapest
The largest exhibition hall in Budapest, in Heroes Square, just the opposite the Museum of Fine Arts.
