The guest at kis szoba this July is the Berlin Hotel Collective, a group comprising some of the newest voices in the Hungarian underground hip-hop scene. With a lineup reminiscent of the legendary Brockhampton, the group formed three years ago and has been steadily climbing the ranks ever since with its funk- and jazz-infused, improvisational, instrumental hip-hop.
The group’s MCs have been churning out material in recent years through various collaborations and solo projects, but they haven’t released an album together yet; live, however, they’re accompanied by a jazz band that’s noteworthy in its own right. Their uniqueness is further enhanced by the abundance of improvised sections, which means every concert is different; even in this small venue, we’ll get to hear and see a unique set from them.

Dürer Kert, which moved from the City Park to the vicinity of Kopaszi Dam, is one of the hangouts of Budapest's surviving peripheral subcultures, but it's also worth visiting if you just want a perfect garden spot. That is, starting in spring. Until then, let's keep rockin'! And after that, too.
