When the band was formed, it burst onto a musical scene that was uncharted territory worldwide, as until then there had never been a live band that adapted and performed the soundtracks from the films of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. Their repertoire includes songs from films made from the late 1960s through the mid-1980s, spanning every musical style. In addition to the Kiszely brothers, every member is a highly skilled and experienced musician well-versed in jazz, jazz-rock, funk, ethno, rock, and blues. This ensures that the songs are performed professionally at concerts, while the joy and nostalgia—the main motivations behind their music—make every concert a true experience for fans.
The band has been performing extensively in Hungary since the summer of 2006, with the annual Hungarian Bud Spencer–Terence Hill Fan Festival standing out as a highlight. In 2009, the German Fan Club invited the band to perform in Leipzig, Germany, for the first time. It was such a success that the Spencer Hill Magic Band has been performing at the large-scale German fan convention ever since. Their musical repertoire consists of more than fifty songs, composed by world-famous Italian composers such as Ennio Morricone, Guido and Maurizio De Angelis (aka Oliver Onions), Franco Micalizzi, and the La Bionda brothers (D.D.
