Donnie Darko is both a comic book, a case study and the boldest venture of the millennium in American independent filmmaking. A cozy piece full of wonders, which tells about the anxieties of garden city teenagers in the eighties with the magical realism of the X-Files.
Kelly starts juggling normality already in the opening scene: the Darko family, who fit the soap opera, falls for an ordered pizza, and soon it turns out that their middle child, Donnie, has stopped taking his medicine and is receiving messages from space. During the night, Donnie is reconnected, which saves him from the airplane engine that crashes through the ceiling.
The boy drifts deeper and deeper into fascination: he is convinced that the world will end in twenty-eight days...

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
