On September 24, 2026, José Simon will open his exhibition 30 Years Wasted on Hungarian Pop Culture – #01, Lemezborítók / Album Covers at Bäse – Creative Clubhouse. The exhibition presents a selection of the graphic designer's work connected to music culture over the past 30 years – this time focusing exclusively on album covers.
The exhibition features, among others, artwork created for albums by Amber Smith, Anima Sound System, Emil.RuleZ, Fanzine, Heaven Street Seven, Kistehén Tánczenekar and Poniklo, alongside numerous original sketches, drafts and behind-the-scenes materials.
The opening will also mark the debut of the first physical release by Budapest Fanzine: the compilation album of the music project founded 30 years ago will be released as a limited-edition vinyl pressing.
