The determined yet compassionate director, Dr. Diane Khoury (played by three-time César Award winner Karin Viard), and her resourceful team provide essential care and support to abused women living in Paris. Although their work involves constant emotional strain, they strive to maintain their humanity and sense of humor even in difficult situations. Diane faces her greatest professional challenge yet when government inspectors unexpectedly knock on the door. Will she be able to secure the center’s future in the face of financial and political pressure, especially since she is the source of stability not only for her colleagues but also for the women who turn to them for help?

Mélisa Godet’s film, filled with moments that are both bittersweet and uplifting, is based on true events. It depicts the operations of a center that fundamentally transformed attitudes toward victims of violence in France.
