wise as the sea
The horizon is an optical boundary that shifts with our movements — the sea’s apparent infinity resembles our consciousness. Murmuring, unknown, restless.
connecting and separating us
we tell stories about it, and it shapes our own
The moment I step into it, I become one with it — its effect on my body becomes my present reality, my lived experience. My primordial cradle; its embrace feels like home.
It is also my solace: I let my tears become part of it. It came from me, and I return it. The boundaries of my body become fluid, dissolving into the vast water.
the sea is neither alive nor lifeless
We are alike: when something touches me deeply, I float beneath an immense body of water, feeling its pressure within my own body. We mirror the things that affect us. It depends on you and me, and we depend on it.
still waters run deep
We are different too: I find my boundaries again, oiling my skin, while the sea waits for our return with its infinite wisdom.
