Bacsó Kristóf Quartet

Kristóf Bacsó is one of the leading figures on the Hungarian jazz scene as a saxophonist, composer and teacher. His wide-ranging and prolific output is reflected in the fact that he has released five albums of his own compositions in recent years, ranging from pieces for a trio through quartet and quintet line-ups to compositions written for a big band. Bacsó’s latest album, *Let It Go*, recorded with his band Triad, was released by BMC Records. The audience will be able to hear tracks from this album at the concert, but the quartet’s programme consists mainly of new compositions which, in an exceptionally skilful manner, blend stylistic elements of contemporary jazz, the Hungarian folk music heritage and contemporary classical music into a unique musical concept, creating something entirely new.
