Gábor Alfréd Fehérvári—or, as the country came to know him, Freddie—didn’t start out at a music school, but rather in the world of everyday life. He graduated from a business college and worked in an office in Győr, while singing and playing guitar in a friend’s band as a hobby—and that’s how his path led him into the spotlight.
In 2014, he appeared on TV2’s talent show *Rising Star*, where—without any formal training or prior competition experience—he made it to the finals and became one of the country’s most beloved voices.
Her first original song, “Mary Joe,” burst onto the radio in the summer of 2015 and quickly became a summer hit. That same year, she also released the song “Neked nem kell,” by which time she was performing under the name Freddie. With her distinctive voice and stage presence, she quickly became one of the leading figures in the Hungarian music scene.
In 2016, he won the A Dal competition with his song “Pioneer,” thereby representing Hungary at the 61st Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, where he advanced to the final and finished in 19th place with 108 points.
She then returned to Eurovision and “A Dal” as both a host and a commentator, while continuing her own music career.
In 2018, she showed another side of herself: she won the sixth season of “Sztárban Sztár,” becoming one of the most versatile performers of the year.
Starting in 2018, he became one of the leading faces of Duna TV: he hosted the show *A Dal* until 2021—spanning four seasons—and from 2019 onward, he served as one of the hosts of *Család-barát* for more than two years. Since 2020, he has been one of the hosts of *SzerencseSzombat*We can see him as one of the hosts, while his musical work and stage presence have been a constant on the stage.
2024 marked another milestone in his career: he won the ninth season of *Let’s Make a Festival!* with his performance of Charlie’s iconic song “Look Up at the Sky.” That same year, he received the Petőfi Music Award and was named Male Performer of the Year
