Slow looking – Slow down to see!

Walking is more than just getting from one place to another. When we set off on foot, we perceive the world around us at a different pace: we notice the details, make connections, and allow time for contemplation. The exhibition *Walk this way. The Art of Walking* explores walking not merely as an everyday form of movement, but as a means of understanding and discovery. Using the ‘slow looking’ method, we too slow down our gaze and take the time to linger before each artwork. By deepening our attention, not only do new layers of the artworks reveal themselves, but our own feelings, thoughts and associations also come to the fore.

Through shared contemplation, we can experience how the path to the most important insights is sometimes the slowest one. Participation in the programme is valid with an admission ticket to the temporary exhibition ‘Walk This Way: The Art of Walking’.
