Obsession (2026)
Bear (Michael Johnston) has had a crush on his best friend, Nikki (Inde Navarrette), for a long time, but he’s never been able to muster the courage to tell her how he feels. Finally, he decides to take the plunge and goes looking for the perfect gift to help him do so. While browsing at the local crystal shop, he notices a strange new item. The “one-wish willow” promises to grant its owner one wish. All he has to do is break it in half. But when Bear finally has the chance to pour his heart out to the woman of his dreams, he can’t muster the courage to confess his feelings. Instead, he decides to use the one-wish willow himself. He wishes, “I wish Nikki Freeman would love me more than anything in this damn world,” and snaps the branch.

And Nikki doesn’t just fall for Bear. She becomes obsessed with him—dangerously so. And everyone can see that something has changed. Her friends, Ian (Cooper Tomlinson) and Sara (Megan Lawless), are rightfully skeptical when they see the two platonic friends turn into a couple overnight. Nikki seems to have fallen into some kind of trance. Her determination becomes all the more intense—and dangerous—if anyone tries to interfere with their relationship. And as Bear begins to realize that Nikki is no longer herself, he tries to undo the damage caused by a seemingly innocent wish, all while trying to keep this secret hidden from everyone else.
