Vive le Jazz | NoSax NoClar (FR)

Since its formation, NoSax NoClar has become one of the most distinctive ensembles on the contemporary acoustic jazz and world music scene. Their free-spirited, boundless musical world – whose imaginary folklore is nourished not only by modern jazz but also by traditional Celtic, Turkish, Berber and Armenian music – has so far been captured on three albums (Kahmsïn, 2020; Red Sisters, 2021; No Dahïss, 2023), whilst the fourth is due out this autumn. Through their rhythmic interplay, sensitivity to timbre and improvisation, the duo continually expands the expressive possibilities of their instruments. Audiences are captivated by both the intensity of their performances and their stage energy: their vibrant, instinctive shows, which share affinities with trance music, offer a unique musical experience that lies somewhere between memory and imagination, celebration and ecstasy.
